La Chapelle d’Abondance village is located in Haute-Savoie, Abondance, near to Lake Geneva. By road, train or airplane, no matter which transport you choose, it’s easy to get to us.
Getting to Abondance Valley:
▪ from France – head to Thonon-les-Bains, then take the Route de Bioge to the Vallée d’Abondance.
▪ from Switzerland – head to Monthey, then to Morgins. The border is located at the Morgins pass just before reaching Châtel.
IMPORTANT
– Going to Switzerland: Our village is 20 minutes from the Swiss border. Remember to take your ID cards. If you are driving on the motorways you will need to buy a Swiss vignette to stick onto your windscreen, it is mandatory and valid for the entire year. On sale at the Morgins Tourist Office and petrol stations in Switzerland.

The ColomBus shuttle bus runs both summer and winter in the Abondance valley.
This is an additional service to the departmental bus line and serves all the villages in the valley: Chevenoz, Vacheresse, Bonnevaux, Abondance, La Chapelle d’Abondance and Châtel.

The Petits Chamois car park (La Chapelle Tourist Office), located under the La Chapelle Tourist Office, access via the ‘Route des Plans, between the Pharmacy and the La Chapelle Tourist Office.
La Route des Moulins car park (ESF):
the car park is located at the centre of the village, near the ESF.
Sous Le Pont car park (by the bakery):
the car park is located at the centre of the village, near the Proxi mini-market.
The Church car park:
the car park is 300m from the village centre. Please note, it is closed on Fridays (market day).
The Crêt Béni car park, located at the Crêt Béni chairlift departure and at 400m from the village centre.
La Panthiaz car park, located at the La Panthiaz cable car departure and at 800m from the village centre.

The closest service station is at the Intermarché, 2km from the village centre, going towards Châtel (24/7 with a bank card).
The closest recharge terminal for electric vehicles is in Abondance (in the Town Hall car park).
